First Steps

HighByte Intelligence Hub is typically brought into operation through the steps below. You can work with the ASP Dijital team on deployment decisions.

  1. Deploy at the edge

    Install the Hub via Docker container, Windows native installer, or Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, Debian). It scales from embedded systems (2 GB RAM) to server-grade hardware (64 GB+ RAM); x86-64 and ARM architectures are supported. Clustering can be configured for high availability.

  2. Connect data sources

    Add OPC UA (client and server), MQTT v3.1.1/v5, Sparkplug A/B, REST/HTTP, SQL, and JDBC sources with built-in connectors. Modbus TCP devices can also be reached via an OPC UA gateway.

  3. Model the data

    Create a single source of truth with visual, template-based modeling. Reusable templates, nested attribute trees, and model validation make data ready for analytics and AI.

  4. Build pipelines

    Use the visual pipeline builder with intelligent stages: Smart Query, On Change, Switch, For Each/While, and Subpipeline. Store-and-forward reliability prevents data loss during connectivity interruptions.

  5. Publish to consumers

    Publish contextualized data to MQTT/Sparkplug (unified namespace with embedded broker), REST, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake).

  6. Configure security and governance

    Enable TLS 1.2/1.3 encryption, role-based access control, audit logging, Active Directory/LDAP integration, and X.509 certificate support. Optionally expose pipelines as "tools" to AI agents via MCP Services.
